Through our UK based hosting partners UKFast, we have access to a private network of 10 UK based data centres and 6 International POP locations, all connected via a dedicated fibre ring spanning over 1,800 kilometres.

A 20 Gigabit-per-second fibre ring connecting the data centres, provides resiliency and diversity to minimise the impact of a single transit failure. All of the networking exchange hardware is housed in on-site dedicated cabinets. All routing equipment is best of breed CISCO. Multiple Tier 1 transit providers provide redundant links and equipment to avoid downtime, with Cisco certified UK networking teams onsite 24/7.
UKFast who are based in the North West of England, manage and operate three of the Group's primary facilities - two in Manchester and one in Nottingham. The network setup has been designed to keep our dedicated servers available to your business 24/7. The diagram below shows the dual-redundant architecture.


In practice, this means that if a network component is critical to the correct running of our servers, there will be two or more of them in place. The network has been designed with two objectives in mind: no single point of failure to guarantee 99.99% uptime and minimal latency – speed. In the event of any problem, the data centre NOC teams are on site 24 hours a day. They hold spares on site for the critical equipment that powers our network to assist us in ensuring that we maintain our 99.99% uptime guarantee.

We build each of our client booking sites with HTTPS or "HTTP Secure", communication. This is a communications protocol for secure communication over a computer network. HTTPS provides authentication of the website and associated web server that one is communicating with, which protects against man-in-the-middle attacks. Additionally, it provides bidirectional encryption of communications between a client and server, which protects against eavesdropping and tampering with and/or forging the contents of the communication.


We enable access to your site through a login procedure that requires your email (unique) and password, which we ask be a minimum of 8 characters and contain upper & lower case plus numeric and other non-alpha/numeric characters. We also recommend that you do not use this password elsewhere and that you change it regularly and do not share it with other members of staff.


We have different levels of access for different users with least data available to our clients customers (they only see their own data) and greatest access to our client site administrators – we emphasise the role and responsibility of the administrator and ask that they convey the importance of security to their operators as well as their customers where appropriate.


The Operations are ISO 27001 Compliant - ISO 27001 (formally known as ISO/IEC 27001:2005) is a specification for an information security management system (ISMS). Peace of mind for you and your business


The operations are also BS 25999 Compliant, for Business Continuity, in the event of a major disruption, such as fire or flood.
